Welcome

I have been writing for quite some time, and think I will continue for quite some time yet.

Some of the most exciting and beautiful moments of my life have been when a story has brought me a glimpse of truth. Often these have come when I have not sought them, as though the story was a river, bearing on its current gifts I did not ask for and for which I could never have imagined asking. I learned to appreciate these things particularly when talking them over with my father. He has gone now, but  these two aspects are what drive my writing: the need for these glints of truth, and then the joy of sharing of them with others. 

I like to write things that are fantastical, inquisitive, and interrogative. I am fascinated by history, myth and story, and our use of these to noble and terrible ends.
